Advisory Committee

In 1999 State law (Assembly Bill 1682) required that each county establish an Advisory Committee. Originally the IHSS/PA Advisory Committee was charged with advising the County of San Diego Board of Supervisors on the type of “employer of record” that San Diego should choose. The committee quickly chose the Public Authority model. Since that time, the committee advises IHSS, the Public Authority, and the Board of Supervisors on issues related to IHSS.

Meeting Information

The IHSS/Public Authority Advisory Committee is currently meeting the second Friday of each month from 12:45 p.m. to approximately 3:00 p.m. For the location of the meeting, please call (619) 731-3707.

Meeting Packet

If you would like to receive a complete packet of information, including all written materials for the next meeting, please call (619) 731-3707 three business days in advance prior to the meeting. Electronic packets are available free of charge and are sent via email. Packets may also be mailed.

Special Accommodations

If you are planning to attend a meeting and need disability-related accommodations you must call the Public Authority office at (619) 731-3707 at least three days in advance of the meeting.
